Anthem of the Seas Has Another Rough Ride In the Atlantic

Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas had another rough encounter with a storm in the atlantic. If this sounds familiar, the same ship was caught off guard by a freak squall in February.

The 168,666gt ship sailed into Bermuda this morning and safely moored as she normally does, but 24 hours ago it was a different story. Passengers onboard are reporting that she encountered the tail end of Hurricane Hermine, which caused 90kt winds and around 30ft seas.

After leaving Cape Liberty on Saturday, the ship hugged Long Island, then turned south towards Bermuda. Not sure why they didn’t sail close to New Jersey and go around the storm that way.

This sums it up quite well:

It doesn’t seem as bad as the February ‘incident’ but nevertheless the pictures and videos are quite extraordinary.
