Windstar Cruises To Stretch Fleet and Announces $250 Million Refurb

Beginning in Fall of 2019, Windstar Cruises will lengthen all three ex-Seabourn ships as well as give each a complete refurbishment.

The $250 million project will increase each vessel’s capacity by 100pax to 312 total per ship. The work will take place Fincantieri’s Sicily yard from October 2019 until November 2020 when the final ship will be complete. The ships will be cut into two and have a roughly 29m midsection inserted around midships. In the render above, that would be right after the half sundeck forward, and right until the start of the lifeboat area.

The project also has each ship being re-engined.
