Royal Caribbean has made the decision to cancel the Grandeur’s current cruise. The ship is currently moored in Freeport, Bahamas and RCI will be arranging flights home for all guests tomorrow.
Future sailings are in jeopardy and RCI has not commented further. Current pax will receive a full refund of the cruise fare as well as a future cruise certificate
In a surprise move, Royal Caribbean is being surprisingly candid on their twitter account (@RoyalCaribbean). They have posts detailing their CEO and VP of Operations whereabouts. Meeting guests, touring the damage, etc. I guess they figure its best if they tell the stories, post the photos; that way they can control it. As opposed to letting the pax leak photos out from the ship of who know what!
