State Department Issues Travel Warning for Honduras
The U.S. state department has just issued a travel warning for its citizens travelling to Honduras. They rank the crime and violence in the central american country as Critically High.
Travelers can take solace in knowing that the crime rates at tourist and resort areas are not as high as the rest of the country.
They state:
crime and violence are serious problems throughout the country, and the Government of Honduras lacks the resources to address these issue.
