Princess cruises this morning announced they have reached an agreement with Fincantieri to build two new ships, entering into service in 2019 and 2020.
The contract was finalized on Saturday while Carnival Corp executives, including Chairman Micky Arison, were in Italy for the delivery of sister brand Holland America’s Koningsdam.
The yet unnamed ship will be 143,700gt and carry 3,560pax. That means she’ll be a Royal class vessel.
The Italian ship builder is currently working on completing another Princess ship, the Majestic Princess.
