A surprise restructuring has hit Carnival UK. Carnival UK CEO David Dingle has let go of Carol Marlow of P&O Cruises and Peter Shanks of Cunard Line. Mr. Dingle now assumes the role of CEO of both lines.
Carnival states that their previous titles of President & Managing Director have been cut out entirely from the company in this restructuring. In its place Carnival UK is creating a marketing director and insight director role but they will supervise the entirety of Carnival UK and not just each line. An announcement will occur later as to who they will hire for each position.
The Carol Marlow decision is surprising. She’s been a key figure in the industry for as long as I can remember.
