Oceania Announces $100 million Refurb of R-Class Ships

Oceania Cruises just announced a new design initiative called OceaniaNEXT. This will see a total transformation of the lines four older vessels that it acquired from Renaissance cruises. There were few changes to their interiors that were made, so these refurbs will bring them on par with the lines newer class of ships.

OceaniaNEXT will be a $100 million re-inspiration of the line’s four ex-Renaissance ships. Each will emerge from the yard with 342 brand new designer suites and staterooms, and stunning new décor in the restaurants, lounges and bars, inspired by the line’s 450 ports of call. The line partnered with Studio DADO, a Miami-based design and concept studio with experience in luxury residential and hospitality projects. They are a natural fit to remake these boutique ships.

I was able to tour the Sirena earlier in the year so if you’d like to see the before photos, you can check it out here.

The Insignia will be the first to get the enhancements in December 2018, followed by Sirena in May 2019, Regatta in September 2019, and Nautica in June 2020. The new cabins look fantastic.
