A major Chinese travel agency called Ctrip are rumored to be entering the cruise industry. It wouldn’t be until this winter and they are only planing to sail inter-Asia routes, mainly out of China.
CIN is reporting that, according to their sources, they are speaking to ship brokers about vessel’s in the 2,000 pax range. I estimate this to be around the 75,000gt-90,000gt range.
As previously mentioned, there’s a surplus of ships that exact size that are about to go on the market. Could be perfect timing.
