Seatrade is reporting that Fincanteri is currently working on a prototype for a new MSC Cruises vessel. The details are unknown at this time, however the size is estimated in the 150,000gt and over 308m loa.The ship with have the latest in green initiatives and eco friendly features.
As this is a completely new design, with innovative features throughout, the timeframe is very far out. I wouldn’t expect any renders, at least MSC branded, to leak out anytime soon.
MSC has had their entire fleet built at the yards in France, so this would mark a departure.
