Tradewinds has the exclusive that Genting (Star and NCL’s parent company) have an MOU for the order of one ship from Germany’s Meyer Werft yard.
Details are sparse as the deal ‘technically’ isn’t official yet. The usd960 Million vessel will be for Genting subsidiary ‘Chinese Dream’. Never heard of them before. Seems to be going after the China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong markets.
Delivery of the roughly 163,000grt ship will be set for October 2016.
We should know by November 4th more details. That’s the date that Tradewinds is reporting Meyer will need the final specifications.
