Keel Laid for Holland America’s New Pinnacle Class

Holland America Line recently celebrated the keel laying of its newest vessel. HAL’s newest flagship is being constructed at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy.

A 680-ton block was lowered into the drydock by a crane. The various parts will be now be assembled there and when she’s ready, the drydock will be flooded and she’ll be floated out.

The as yet unnamed ship is simply referred to as a Pinnacle class vessel. Carrying 2,650-guests and measuring 99,500gt she is scheduled for delivery in February 2016.
