It’s not the clearest of photos but this gives us an idea of what Viking’s US riverboat will look like.
The Swiss based company operate the largest European river fleet and are aggressively building blue water ships for their ocean cruises brand. In 2015 they announced they will enter the US river industry and then things stalled. According to a source, the ship may be named Viking Delta or Viking Leif. I’m working with another source to get a clearer render of her.
The ship will be built in Louisiana and owned by a local company. They will probably long-term time charter her to one of Viking’s subsidiary’s.
