Royal Caribbean International has announced that the third Oasis class vessel, Harmony of the Seas, will feature an upgraded water park area onboard.
Splashaway Bay (an interactive aqua park for kids), The Ultimate Abyss, (the tallest slide at sea touting a 100 foot dramatic plunge), and The Perfect Storm (a trio of water slides) will all debut on the 227,000gt ship.
Splashaway Bay is a vibrant waterscape for children with sea creature water cannons, winding slides, a gigantic drench bucket and a multi-platform jungle-gym.
Ultimate Abyss is a 10 story slide that starts in the Pool and Sports Zone area at the aft of the ship and goes down to the Boardwalk neighborhood below. Yikes!
The Perfect Storm is actually a trio of slides. It comprises of the Supercell slide, a champagne bowl swirling guests around as they descend into their approach towards a big splash finale, as well as the Cyclone and Typhoon slides as well.
When launched in May of 2016, Harmony of the seas will become the largest cruise ship in the world, taking the title from her sister, Allure of the Seas.
