Here are the latest on the fire on the Grandeur
- All pax are off the the ship. Royal Caribbean announced that all guests have departed Freeport.
- The investigation and general assessment continues. Inspectors from the Bahamian Maritime Authority are leading the investigation into the cause. NTSB, US Coast Guard, and Det Norske Veritas (the ships class) will also join in.
- Royal Caribbean still hasn’t said if any more cruises will need to be cancelled. We should know more by Friday.
- The vessel is still tied up at the cruise terminal in Freeport. She most likely will shift inner harbor over to the Grand Bahama Shipyard for repairs.(Pretty Convenient)
- It took 11 charter flights to ferry all pax from Freeport Int’l to BWI.
