Genting Shuffles Ships

Via Shipspotting

Genting Hong Kong, parent company of Star Cruises, Dream Cruises, and Crystal Cruises, have announced that they will be transferring the SuperStar Virgo to Dream Cruises. The move will take place next April. She will be named Explorer Dream and sail in Oceania. This move leaves Star Cruises with three ships, and the The Taipan which only functions as a banquet ship in Malaysia.

The Virgo is sistership to the Norwegian Spirit which also sailed for Star Cruises as the SuperStar Leo. When Genting divested themselves of NCLH in March, there was no chance that the Virgo was going to join her sister in Norwegian Cruise Line.
