[FRIDAY] Hurricane Irene update

As Hurricane Irene leaves the very flooded Bahamas and sets her sights on the Atlantic coastline, here are the latest updates;

Carnival

CARNIVAL GLORY has reversed the order of our ports of call. We will now visit Halifax on Monday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saint John on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

CARNIVAL PRIDE has been directed by the US Coast Guard to arrive early from the previous cruise and proceed to a secure, alternate location until the storm passes.  Therefore, if the track remains the same, embarkation is scheduled for Monday, August 29th from 10am to 2pm at the Baltimore cruise terminal.  Please be on the lookout for an email with additional information.

NCL

Norwegian Gem will leave Bermuda Thursday at 6:00 pm, a day earlier than planned, to avoid the path of the storm. Norwegian Gem will arrive in New York on Sunday, August 28 as scheduled.

Norwegian Jewel did not call on Nassau, Bahamas today and instead is spending the day at sea, heading north to return to New York on Saturday, August 27 as scheduled.

Norwegian Sky has canceled its call to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas today and is spending the day at sea. Tomorrow, the ship will miss its call to Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas and instead call on Key West, Florida from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Holland America

ms Veendam departed Bermuda at 5:00pm on Thursday, and is scheduled to arrive in New York one day early on Saturday. Guests are welcome to disembark on Saturday or overnight until Sunday and enjoy New York. 

Royal Caribbean

Explorer of the Seas will depart Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 27, at 4:00 p.m. – one hour earlier than originally scheduled.
