Former NCL CEO Back in Cruise Industry

Kevin Sheehan, NCL CEO at Norwegian Getaway Christening

Former NCL CEO Kevin Sheehan is back in the cruise industry. After abruptly leaving NCL in January 2015, for personal reasons I’m told, Sheehan will helm the new management team that will operate Paradise Cruise Line.

Paradise Cruise Line is the small, one ship line that sails from West Palm Beach to Freeport. The ship they sail is the Grand Celebration (ex-Costa Celebration, Carnival Celebration).

In between these ventures, Sheehan served as CEO of a Las Vegas based gaming and technology company for casinos.

An interesting note, when Paradise Cruise Line started sailing in February 2015, it was with the former staff from Celebration Cruise Line. Celebration’s lone ship ran aground on Halloween in 2014. Celebration Cruise Line was quickly scuttled and Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines was set up in it’s place. BPCL then set up Paradise Cruise Line for the Grand Celebration to sail under.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line was just sold last week to Paradise Cruise Line Operator Ltd, registered in the Bahamas, with Kevin Sheehan as its CEO.
