Former Costa CEO Un-retires and is Appointed to Carnival sub-brand

In April, we reported that current Costa CEO Pier Luigi Foschi will retire from his role at Costa Cruises. It seemed to be a reactionary move, corresponding to the Concordia disaster.

However, it has been announced that Mr. Foschi will instead be appointed to oversee Carnival plc.’s “growth strategies within the rapidly expanding Asian region.” Formally he will be chairman and chief executive officer of the Carnival Asia division.

It looks like Carnival is still having a problem dealing with the PR nightmare that was the Concordia and their corporate response to it.
