Carnival Vista Class

First Look: Carnival Horizon

Carnival Horizon in Barcelona

Carnival’s newest flagship has just set sail on her inaugural voyage from Barcelona. The 133,596gt ship is the second in the Vista-class family of vessels. These are an enlargement of the Dream-class of vessels. While most of the Horizon will be like the Vista (which isn’t a bad thing) there will be some modifications.

The WaterWorks aqua park is now Dr. Seuss-themed.
The Bonsai sushi restaurant will now feature two Teppanyaki grills. The Red Frog Pub and Brewery has been replaced with Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse. The outdoor Fat Jimmy’s BBQ that’s on Vista is removed and included in the Pig & Anchor. This is now located on the port side.

As with the Vista, the Horizon will feature the lines latest innovations such as the SkyRide aerial ride in the sky. She’ll also have the IMAX and Thrill Theaters. The semi-exclusive Havana section with it’s dedicated staterooms, lounge, bar and pool area will be present as well. Make sure to check my comprehensive photo tour of the Vista. I recently updated it too!
