THURSDAY: No new alterations today. It looks like weekend turnarounds in New York may be in jeopardy.

Carnival

Carnival Pride, will sail Port Canaveral, Tuesday; Freeport, Wednesday.

Carnival Triumph, will sail a western instead of Eastern with stops in Key West; Cozumel; Progreso.

Carnival Destiny will sail Key West; Cozumel ; Costa Maya instead of Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau.

Carnival Conquest, will sail Costa Maya; Cozumel; and Progreso.

Carnival Victory  will alter but unsure of where.

Carnival Liberty, has altered but no further details.

Carnival Miracle, will sail Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay instead of San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk.

Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Jewel, will skip Nassau and sail directly back to NYC.

Norwegian Sky will skip Great Stirrup Cay.

 

Royal Caribbean

Monarch of the Seas will skip CocoCay

Majesty of the Seas will skip CocoCay and sail to Key West and stay overnight

Oasis of the Seas will sail Cozumel, Monday; Tuesday at sea; Falmouth on Wednesday; Labadee, Thursday.

Freedom of the Seas will sail Cozumel, Tuesday; Grand Cayman, Wednesday; Falmouth, Jamaica ,Thursday; Labadee, Friday.

Allure of the Seas will call Nassau, Saturday; St. Thomas, Wednesday; and St. Maarten Thursday.

Serenade of the Seas’ will sail Aruba, Tuesday’; Curacao, Wednesday; St. Kitts, Friday; ST. Thomas, Saturday.

 

[UPDATE 8/23]USCG MIAMI has issued Condition X-RAY

Vessels more than 500 gross tons should make preparations to leave the port at this time or have received permission from the COTP to remain in port.  Vessels unable to depart the port must contact the COTP and submit a safe mooring plan in writing when requesting and prior to receiving permission to remain in port. Proof of facility owner/operator approval will be required.

Inbound vessels that will be unable to depart the port if Port Condition YANKEE is set, are advised to seek an alternate destination. Container terminal operators shall reduce general cargo container stack heights to no more than four high and hazardous material cargo container stacks to no more than two high, or propose alternate securing arrangements to the COTP.  The COTP may require additional precautions to ensure the safety of the ports and waterways.

From the USCG in Port Everglades:

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port has notified Port Everglades that Hurricane Condition WHISKEY has been set for HURRICANE IRENE as of 11 a.m. today, Monday, August 22, 2011. That condition coincides with the expected onset of tropical storm force winds within 72 hours. Given the current storm track, the USCG Captain of the Port projects setting of the following conditions at the times noted below.

● X-RAY @ 11 a.m. Tuesday

● YANKEE @ 11 a.m. Wednesday

● ZULU @ 8 p.m. Wednesdayimageimage
