Carnival Introduces The First Roller Coaster At Sea

Slowly but surely we’re getting more and more details of Carnival’s newest flagship, the Mardi Gras.

Today, they announced that it will feature the first ever roller coaster at sea called the BOLT.

The track will be built by Munich-based Maurer Rides. Total track length measures over 800ft with speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour. It’s an all electric vehicle that allows two riders per carriage to race around the funnel and sports deck, roughly 187 ft above the waterline.

At the same time, they released two new high res renders of the ship as well.
