Carnival Corp. has just announced that their newly set up partner line, CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, will be receiving the 85,619gt Costa Atlantica and her sister Costa Mediterranea. The ships, built in 2000 and 2003 respectively, will be sold to the new line and not simply transferred. The value is TBD.
Costa Atlantica will transfer by the end of 2019 and Mediterranea will follow up a year later.
The Costa Atlantica was the very first ship in the highly successful Spirit-class.
