Carnival Corp Orders Two More Vessels

Carnival Corporation announced they have reached an agreement with Fincantieri to build two new vessels. They will sail for Holland America and Princess.

The Holland America ship will be built at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, Italy and will be delivered in 2021. It will be the third Pinnacle class vessel coming in at 99,500gt and carry 2,660pax. It’ll be sister to the Koningsdam and the 2018-newbuild, Nieuw Statendam.

The ship for Princess Cruises will be built at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard and delivered in 2022. It will be the sixth Royal class vessel measuring 145,000gt and carrying 3,660pax. She’ll be sister to Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess. There are also two yet-to-be-named vessels also under construction by Fincantieri for Princess scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020. The new Princess ship will come equipped from the shipyard to work with the Ocean Medallions.
