Carnival Corp. has just announced that they agreed with Meyer Werft to build an additional vessel for their P&O brand. They already have a newbuild planned for 2020 so this will be a sister to her and debut in 2022. These are the LNG powered Excellence class that will see sister lines, Carnival, AIDA and Costa all taking versions of this design.
These ships will be 183,900gt and carry 5,300pax.
An interesting note, if the render is to be believed, they don’t feature the vertical bow and go back to the traditional pointed bow design.
