As background, Jeff Bezos Amazon’s CEO and drone enthusiast, was recently evacuated from a cruise ship in the Galapagos Islands. Local officials recived a call from the m/v Letty that a passenger was ill. He was diagnosed with kidney stones and an emergency evacuation of Mr. Bezos was ordered. He was airlifted Santa Cruz Is. then Baltra Is. He boarded his private plane and flew back to Seattle for further treatment. An Amazon spokesman stated “He got a good outcome….he’s feeling well.”
