The debut of one of the most eagerly anticipated ships to come out in quite awhile is being delayed, yet again. The AIDAprima has faced serious delays during it’s construction at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan. It was just announced by Rostock based Aida Cruises that she will be unable to make her maiden voyages from Japan-Dubai-Hamburg this fall. No new launch date has been published and AIDA will sail the AIDAstella on some of the key winter routes the prima was supposed to sail.
Her sister is supposed to debut early next year, however AIDA has not announced a single detail, no name, itineraries,etc. This leads to speculation that this ship will also be severely delayed.
