AIDA Celebrates Steel Cutting for LNG Newbuild
Germany’s AIDA Cruises just celebrated the steel cutting for the first of their LNG Newbuilds. AIDA’s President AIDA Felix Eichhorn and Meyer Werft Managing Director Bernard Meyer pushed the button to start the first cutting of the first steel plate for the new 180,000gt ship.
The ship will resemble the AIDAprima but will be larger and powered by LNG. The ship should be delivered sometime in 2019.
