Quantum of the Seas, the lead ship in Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class, was delivered in 2014 by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. The vessel measures 1,139 feet in length, 136 feet in beam at the waterline (160 feet overall), with a gross tonnage of 168,666 and a draft of 28 feet. It accommodates up to 4,905 passengers at full occupancy in 2,090 staterooms across 16 guest decks, supported by approximately 1,500 crew. Quantum of the Seas introduced several technological firsts for the brand, including the North Star observation capsule, Bionic Bar with robotic bartenders, and high-speed satellite internet. Propulsion is provided by ABB Azipods and four Wärtsilä diesel generators, allowing a service speed of 22 knots. The deck plan integrates multifunctional public spaces like Two70°, SeaPlex, and a multi-level main dining configuration, while maintaining a high passenger-to-space ratio for operational efficiency on global itineraries.
