Easily the most anticipated ship this year is Celebrity’s Edge. She’s a completely new design measuring 130,818gt. Her most distinctive features are the vertical axe-bow and an exterior moving platform on her starboard side call the Magic Carpet. In addition to those there are also a ton of industry firsts here especially with her cabins. The standard balcony cabins feature and indoor/outdoor section. This allows guests to completely enclose their balcony and increase the space inside the room. Else, the guests can lower balcony glass and turn their entire cabin into balcony.

The ship is currently in the Atlantic sailing for North America. She’ll arrive in Freeport, Bahamas for some work at the shipyard there. It now seems that she will arrive in Port Everglades on November 19.
