Star of the Seas, debuting in August 2025, is Royal Caribbean’s second Icon-class cruise ship and one of the largest passenger vessels ever built. Constructed at Meyer Turku in Finland, the ship measures about 250,800 gross tons, with capacity for over 5,600 guests at double occupancy and more than 7,000 at maximum. Like her sister Icon of the Seas, she is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) with additional fuel cells and shore power connections, reflecting Royal Caribbean’s push toward lower-emission technologies. At nearly 365 meters (1,198 ft) in length and 20 decks, the vessel will feature seven distinct “neighborhoods,” extensive family accommodations, multiple waterparks including the largest at sea, and a mix of luxury suites, entertainment venues, and dining concepts, positioning her as a flagship for the line’s next generation of mega-resorts at sea.
