Viking Orion is Delivered
Viking Ocean Cruises have just taken delivery of their fifth vessel, the Viking Orion. The ship just finished her construction at Fincantieri’s Ancona yard. She comes in at 47,800gt ship and can carry 930 pax.
The Orion will be officially named by her ceremonial godmother, Dr. Anna Fisher, American chemist, emergency room physician and retired NASA astronaut, in Livorno, Italy on June 14th.
An additional 10 ships are on order with the Italian yard. The next ship, Viking Jupiter, will be delivered in spring 2019.
