Here’s a rare video from the early 1960’s covering Union Castle Lines RMS Transvaal Castle. This vessel sailed on liner routes between the UK and South Africa. After a career sailing on that route, she was sold to Carnival Cruise Lines in 1977 and underwent a $30 million drydock in Japan to become the SS Festivale.
