RUMOR: Chinese Cruise Line Orders a 100,000grt Vessel

CIN is reporting that an unnamed cruise line may have just ordered a 100,000grt newbuild set for launch in 2018. The date seems a little too far in the future in my opinion, but China has no experience building post-panamax cruise ships.

The cruise line would be a joint venture between Shan-Hai-Shu, Xiamen Shipbuilding and Xiamen International Cruise.

Note that Xiamen is a Royal Caribbean International ‘port.’
