Royal Caribbean Receives Dept-Holiday from Newbuild Payments
Royal Caribbean has recently been able to better it’s liquidity by arranging for a debt holiday from payments for its newbuilds in Germany and France.
The French credit agency is applying this to the Symphony of the Seas, Celebrity Edge, and Celebrity Apex and runs until April 2021.
Germany’s export credit agency has arranged for holidays for Quantum of the Seas, and Celebrity’s Eclipse, Equinox, Solstice and Silhouette. This runs until April 2021 too.
The French deferred payments save them $220m USD and the German deferred payments save them $250m USD.
