Sometimes supplier announcements can have unintended consequences, like Wärtsilä Hamworthy confirming an equipment order for the P&O Cruises 141,000-ton newbuild at Fincantieri, due for delivery in 2015, along with an option for a second ship.

The cruise line had announced a one-ship order last summer with Fincantieri, with no mention of a second ship, nor an option.
