Here is an amazing quote from NCL’s CEO Kevin Sheehan:
“Thank god we are building the [Breakaway] in Germany,” said Sheehan, as Norwegian Cruise Line is back with Meyer Werft, which built previous generations of the cruise line’s ships.
Apparently he wasn’t a fan of STX France Yards who built the one, and only, Epic class vessel. STX France then imposed a heavy cancellation fine on Kevin and forced the Epic to be more costly based on the change orders new NCL management had after the former CEO, Colin Vietch (I go on record in saying he was one of the worst CEO’s of any line EVER) apparently designed one of the worst ships ever.
Here’s to Kevin for calling it like it is!
“How you like them apples France”
