UPDATE NOON: You know, after thinking about it, this leads one to question central park. What if something goes terrible wrong? It is possible that insects could sneak onboard through the plants, or strangely enough, through the guests (that’s why your not allowed to visit farms in countries and try to enter countries, U.S. or Australia, right after). Is RCCL prepared for such an event? There would be nowhere for the insects to go but passenger cabins or the restaurants.

There is no doubt in my mind that they have contingency plans, but will these plans work. Hopefully they will never be needed but, as with the maritime industry, it is essential to be proactive of all situations and not reactive.

The small guest made her -or his- appearance at central park. Royal Caribbean CEO Richard Fain captured it on his blog.
