The first hurricane in the 2010 Atlantic season has formed in the Gulf of Mexico. Due to the location of the storm in the gulf, no ships will have issues with ports. Carnival’s vessels sailing in/out of Galveston and New Orleans may have a bumpy ride though.

Texas is starting to feel the effects of the storm. I woke up this morning in Houston and it was a dark and cloudy day with rain expected soon.

TS Erika Updates http://www.cruiseind.com/2009/09/ts-erika-updates/#utm_source=feed&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=feed http://www.cruiseind.com/2009/09/ts-erika-updates/#comments Thu, 03 Sep 2009 01:51:04 +0000 Greg http://cruiseind.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/ts-erika-updates/ Carnival

As stated before the Carnival Glory will alter its itinerary to skip St. Maarten today and Grand Turk will be called at tomorrow.

Royal Caribbean

The Adventure of the Seas will possibly call in Dominica instead of Antigua. I say possibly because its one of those “play-it-by-ear” situations.
