I came across some photos of the Disney Dream being build and thought I would pass them along. Take note of the detail that goes into the vessels bow and stern. Reminds me of the old sailing days where the designs along the hulls used to be quite elaborate.

Lost in all the Oasis media hype was an announcement by the Disney Corp. about the Disney Dream (Not to be confused with the Carnival Dream and the former Norwegian Dream any other ships I’m missing!). Her maiden voyage is slated for January 26, 2011.

Bizarre story from off of Florida. A man jumped from the Carnival Sensation while cruising off the coast of Florida. Local ships aided in the rescue and the Disney Wonder found him first and grabbed him up from the water.

The long rumored names of the new Disney ships have been confirmed. The Disney Dream will debut in 2011 and her sistership Disney Fantasy will debut in 2012. A leaked rendering can be seen below:
Disney Cruise Line announced today that the Disney Wonder will sail year-round starting 2011.The deal is not exactly finalized, as it need port commissioners approval. No word yet as to the Itineraries. As soon as I find out, I’ll let everyone know.
