Carnival Pride to Enter Drydock Early

Originally scheduled for January, the Carnival Pride will instead sail into a drydock in November. Every 2-3 years ships will routinely head to a drydock for 2 weeks. Workers will replace carpets, update cabins, thoroughly clean all areas of the ship. Machinery may be replaced or overhauled. Things of that nature. Some of the [...]

Carnival Ecstasy Unable to Dock

I should have noticed something was up today when I checked the Galveston cam and saw that the Ecstasy was in Galveston on a Friday. Being able to see the Ecstasy walking to class and around campus at my alma mater, every Saturday, Monday, or Thursday, you gets used to associating those days with that [...]

Carnival Ship Looses Power

Carnival Fascination lost power on Wednesday as it was cruising back to Jacksonville, FL. The ship was adrift in the Atlantic after what is being referred to the cruise line as a “technical malfunction.” But, power was restored after several hours and the ship successfully returned from its 5-Night Bahamas trip, albeit several hours late. Carnival Dream Godmother

…is Marcia Gay Harden. The ceremony will take place tomorrow after Carnival’s flagship arrives in the U.S. for the first time.
In an attempt to upstage Royal Caribbean and their Oasis of the Seas’, you’d think think that they would get a bigger name. Carnival has a lot of capitol available to them. I have [...]

Carnival Delays Two Ships in Ida

Carnival announced that the Carnival Triumph and the Carnival Fantasy would delay their inaugural cruises out of new homeports.
The Carnival Triumph was set to call on New Orleans for the first time yesterday until mother nature had its way. The whole gulf coast, even as far as over here in Galveston, got rain. Although [...]
